Taylor Swift recorded her songs from the first six albums again, and two versions of her hit “Love Story” have been compared.
This is the song the singer claimed to be the most interesting and enjoyable for re-recording.
The star wanted her touring band to play the Love story 2021 because they have been playing this song for years. She said that she was really up to giving the chance to them for their years of playing it over and over again. The musicians of the song were new but the lyrics were the same.
Love Story 2008 was recorded in a much younger voice of 18 years. Its new version has a mature voice with more depth. Tylor Swift’s matured vocals had added up the warmth to the song. Now the pauses between the words can be observed. The singer has delivered the lyrics clearly in the latest version.
Everything other than the voice was also sharper and improved. The music instruments were updated and so each sound can be listened separately. The listeners can conceive and enjoy the details of the music and instruments. It was missing in the first version. Especially the music by banjo strings.
The guitar strings also strike very delicately. The violin was mixed and buried in the 2008 version. Violin can clearly be heard in 2021 version that was almost absent in the previous.
Undoubtedly, the 2021 version of Taylor Swift’s Love Story is another hit. The singer has successfully captured the innocence in the romantic video without losing the spirit of the song. It was a concern as, in the first video Tylor was only 18, innocent-looking girl.
The singer has been successful in delivering a better and improved re-recording of Love Story to replace the original version. This one has reduced the value of the original and won the hearts of the fans. Fans have greeted the new song with enthusiasm and love. They liked the new but exactly like original version of Love Story.
The re-recording and release of new versions of her songs from first six albums were an attempt to attain control over her music diminishing the value of the originals. Formerly Big Machine sold the master recordings of her original albums without taking permission from the singer. The rights to sale and earn profits from the recordings were also shifted without her will.
She kept on asking Braun for the use of “Shake it off” but disappointed. She, as the author or co-author of her songs, holds the rights to publish the songs again and exploit the recordings.
After this attempt in 2019, the singer returned to the studio using her veto, and decide to record the songs and make a new version. Swift wants to have ownership of the new recordings. These new recordings were intended to replace the previous one.
The next release of Taylor’s album Fearless is scheduled for April this year.
