Roland Ngole is an international speaker who resides in Kassel- Germany. He graduated with a bachelor´s degree in international business administration and a master’s degree in supply chain management from the University of applied sciences Fulda-Germany. He has worked in different departments at 7 German International companies. In July 2021 he was awarded the excellence and winner award after winning the international speaker slam competition against 79 contestants from 12 different countries. He is currently a part-time lecturer at the University of applied sciences in Mainz Germany. The speeches of Roland Ngole are known to create lasting impact and change in the life of his audience. What do you love most about the industry you are in?
In the speaking industry you get the unique privilege to positively impact people’s life for the better. There is power, life and death in the spoken word. Having the opportunity as a speaker to speak life into people´s life. To help change their thought pattern and the negative story they believe about themselves. To Helping them to strive towards the accomplishment of their highest vision these are things that I love about the speaking industry.
What does a typical day consist of for you?
My ultimate objective is to become a better person today as I was yesterday. I strive daily to improve the different areas of my life. My day begins with reading the bible and after that I pray. The rest of my day is determined by the to-do list I have written for the day.
What keeps you motivated?
I derive my motivation from my vision. Vision is the source of lasting motivation. The fact that am living and pursuing my life´s vision keeps me constantly motivated and inspired.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
I get my inspiration from diverse personal development books that I read. Moreover, most of the inspiration I get comes from prayer. Life is not only physical. There is a spiritual dimension of life which if acknowledge will open a person to idea, wisdom and inspiration.
Who has been a role model to you and why?
Andrew Carnegie is my role model with regards to Business. He started with nothing and when on to build a business empire. Carnegie then used his money and resources to better society. He built and gave away 1000s of libraries world-wide. My aim in life is to leave the world better than how I found it by impacting and empowering others.
How do you maintain a solid work life balance?
Although, I work every day on my vision and business, I always allocate time for recreation. I have time scheduled daily to go out and enjoy quality time with my family and friends.
What traits do you possess that makes a successful leader?
One of the prime goals of leadership is not the creation of followers but rather the creation of leaders. I have a quote by which I live which states “Only call it success after you have replicated your results in the life of others”. At whatever level I am in life, I strive to pull people up to where I am. Thus, by so doing I empower others and I continuously grow in the process. For example, when I was studying and got my first corporate internship. I began to search for students who wanted to get- a corporate internship but could not and I helped and empowered them to get a corporate internship. I did the same after I got a full-time job in my field of study. Now, I am doing the same with people aspiring to become international speakers, who wish to make a living with their speaking craft.
What is one piece of advice that you have never forgotten?
In life you must focus on who you are, not on where you are.There is a proverb in that bible that says that “as a man thinketh in his heart so is he”. Your life now reflects your thought life. Whatever you want to become in life is dependent on how you work on your thinking and how much value you invest in yourself. Thus, irrespective on where you live, if you dedicate yourself in becoming the best version of yourself, you invest in yourself, you add value to yourself. There is literally nothing that you could not attain if you strived towards it.
Where do you see you and your company in 5 years?
I am working on expanding my business activities in more countries on all continents. I have plans to organize conferences, masterminds, symposiums, seminars, and round table discussions in countries where I have not been to before. Through, that I am going to increase the number of people I positively impact.
How do you motivate others?
I always prompt people to remember their vision, that implies where they are heading in life and their why “the reason behind what they do”. The combination of vision and their why ignites lasting motivation in them. As it is often said, when you know your why in life, you can over come anyhow.
What traits do you possess that makes a successful leader?
I would say the ability to see potential in people and the ability of vision casting. Every successful leader needs to have a vision of where he/she is taking the people to. Moreover, leaders should be able to communicate this vision to their team/ followers in such a way that the followers understand the role they must play in the big picture.
