The American space agency promises to issue a remarkable video of its Perseverance Rover Landing.
NASA released a still image of the robot landing in Jazero Cater, on Friday. The image was just one frame of the Rover from tens of thousands. It is expected to share the video of landing that NASA has promised. The video will be acquired of its hair-raising landing on the surface of mars.
The robot, Perseverance Rover, was sent to Mars with cameras to record the landing experience. The robot was loaded with the cameras. Seven cameras attached to the robot were installed to record the landing only.
The video footage of the landing will be helpful for the engineers to understand the mechanism in a better way. They are intended at improving the technologies and mechanism of sending robots to the Red planet. The imagery of the landing will elaborate the dynamics of landing to the engineers.
The images of landing have been collected with the help of the cameras attached to the robot by the controllers at Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). California agency is working for compiling the images to make a video of landing. It was promised in a press conference at 19:00 GMT that the video will be released to show the landing. The video will also highlight the materials.
The navigation mast of the Perseverance Rover was visible at the weekend. The robot left Earth the previous year. Mastcam-Z, the mast main camera at the top of the Rover allowed a panorama shot of the surroundings of terrain in Jazero. It also captured the deck of the rover as well.
The release of the video will also show the damage or potential damage in the landing that might be caused due to the stones outside the Earth.
The controllers at JPL will spend this week in transitioning of the imagery of Perseverance Rover to extract them from the software safely. The transition is expected to take complete four Martian days. One Martian day lasts for 24 hours and 39 minutes. NASA says in press conference that first test drive of a few meters by the robot could be released soon.
The engineers are interested in the mini helicopter accompanied the rover for flight. 2kg little chopper, Perseverance is performing the first flight to Mars. But the robot aircraft needs a good place to put it down and conduct experiments.
The landing of the robot has been calculated and informed at a spot in 1.2 by 1.2 km quadrangle. It has been notified by science team to Canyon de Chelly.
The image shows that Rover is sitting on a flat piece having a smooth unit under the wheels. The rocks are likely to be dark volcanic rocks. Be ready to watch the scenes of landing.
