The Iraqi poet Zakariya Abdul-Ali Muhail, known as Zaki Al-Ali, was born in the city of Nasiriyah, Al-Sedinawiya district in southern Iraq He completed his primary and intermediate studies there, and later graduated from the Military Institute of Languages, Department of Persian, during the Iran-Iraq war at the time – He loved poetry books in his youth, influenced by his southern social environment and reflecting its images and heritage and its fateful events His poetic beginnings were in the vertical form – The literary circles became interested in him after his appearance on the scene as a poet who writes all forms of vertical poetry and modern poetry.
The poet Zaki Al-Ali does not belong to a particular school of poetry. Blue Blood Poetry Collection,was his first book translated to English published by the Absolute author publishing house which are prose poems translated into English
