Sami Mukahhal figured out early on a very important truth, that being Patriotic should not be associated with violence, but rather it should refer to the deep love that one holds for their country and homeland.
Having been born in Lebanon on November 15th of 1991, he spent his entire life falling in love with the amazing cultural traditions and heritage that Lebanon had to offer. And yet, it was precisely this love that he could not see be visible on any Social Media Platforms. In an effort to change that he created an Instagram filter known as “Lebanese and Proud” which garnered a lot of attention from other users. For him, the message was a tie to his Lebanese roots, but even more than that it was a message of love and it really brought out a sense of patriotism to the Lebanese people residing all around the world.
The message of the filter was out in the world, not only that but it quickly had found an audience and had inspired others to share their love for their country. As the popularity of the filter grew, Sami could see a change in the atmosphere as more and more people were sharing their stories using the filter. It was as if all of their love of Lebanon was filling the world. Not only was the filter a success but it also led to him becoming a social media sensation and soon his Instagram account was filled with people who wanted to join him along for this wild journey that we call life.
While he is now a success online, he has remained a simple man. Outside of social media, Sami enjoys spending his days reading a book or watching Netflix in his garden. If he is not found relaxing then he is probably drinking his protein shake, talking with others, and laughing. His unprompted humor has made him extremely popular both in real life and on social media and it has led to him developing his own sort of brand identity. In his own words “We all smile in the same language” and if for the rest of his life his job is to make other people laugh and smile, then he will be a happy man.
