The founder of the company SoClose, Enzo Day has never been one to shy away from hard work and following his passions. As a young child growing up in France, he began playing golf at the age of 6 and kept up with the sport until he was playing at a national level. And while golf was an important passion of his, his heart from a young age was fascinated by the world of technology and coding.
At the age of 14, he developed his first website “Fiches Up”, which was a page dedicated to French college exam preparation. What made his webpage unique was that it was designed in a way that would appeal to its target audience, gamers. This was Enzo’s first web development experience, but it would not be his last. Four years later, he dropped out and fully began dedicating his attention to learning how to code. In time, he was able to start meeting with coding experts and to begin working with clients on developing their own websites. This freelance work was further expanded when at the age of 22 he launched his company SoClose. SoClose is a digital factory company that develops its own CMS, several modules such as CRM while also dealing with project management and accounting.
While SoClose has been an active company for a few years now, Enzo still remembers those early days of building his company. In a recent interview, when asked about the 5 things that he wished someone had told him prior to starting his company, he spoke about how we wished someone had told him to be patient, resilient, never quit, remain focused, and not trust too quickly. These five pieces of advice in his min could have helped better prepare him for the journey that was ahead of him. Where patience would be necessary as things would often take longer than expected because of logistics and administrative tasks and his resilience would be important as he sought to fix problems and face all the challenges that came his way. to face new constraints. In the end, his unwavering focus and his determination to not quit would help make his business a success.
After years of hard work, the current full line of products and services offered by SoClose include Consulting, Web Development, Graphic Art, Leads Generation, Security Improvement, SocialMedia Growth, Business Branding, Video/Photo, and Monitoring sessions. Currently, SoClose is working in many key industries, including energy, training, and media, while often employing a peer-to-peer approach. Part of the reason for its so far success is the fact that the company has been built on 3 values. The first one regards peer learning as an extremely important, collaborative, and agile approach to learning skills that may at times be complex. The second one, states that ‘Life is art’ because as every day passes you get to make what you want out of your life. The third one ‘SoClose’ which is also the name of the company, refers to the ability to share your best abilities with others. In many ways, all three of these values refer to the human connection and the skills and knowledge that one can easily develop through close-knit connections and guidance. With such an intense focus on the person, it only seems right that the company has managed to grow and become such a trusted partner of many different companies.
SoClose has no intention of halting its growth and Enzo is already planning to transform its already developed CMS and add to it a SAAS model. This will further build up their business and community as they will be able to collaborate and assist more and more of their clients. Client interactions and trust have been integral elements of the company and with this project, SoClose hopes to be able to further expand its client base and gain a place in the worldwide market within the next 5 years.
