Wolf Alice singer Ellie Rowsell accused Marilyn Manson of filming her upskirt without consent.
She shared that Manson and Ellie met at a music festival on Saturday, February 1, where he misconducted.
Rowsell is in solidarity with the actress Evan Rachel Wood who accused Marilyn Manson of physical and sexual abuse. Since Wood revealed about Manson’s conduct, some other celebrities also shared their experiences with him.
Ellie Rowsell shared a tweet saying “Solidarity to Evan Rachel Wood and those calling out Marilyn Manson”. She also said that it is sad that people are supporting Manson. Though he talks openly about his depravity but still he has no right to abuse women, she added in her tweet.
The singer from Wolf Alice also shared the event where she met with Manson, real name Brian Warner. There are allegations on him that he misconducted at the backstage of the music festival with the singer.
As the singer found Manson, he started complimenting her band. The deliberately exaggerated comments made Rowsell suspicious. Her band, Wolf Alice, won Mercury Prize 2018 for Visions of Life. She became dubious about the behaviour of the singer and got shocked when she saw that he was filming her upskirt with GoPro.
It made her more uncomfortable when he was not ashamed of it and there was no notice of this misconduct. Rather, a member of his staff said that he keeps doing such things.
Rowsell is really angry on him saying that if these are the things that he does all the time then why is he allowed to move around in the parties and festivals for years, just because of his success? She called him “misogynist”.
She also shared her comments on the news release of Wood’s allegations on Manson about abusing relationship. Ellie Rowsell said that she is unsure about Manson’s claim of having a consensual relationship. She said that how such a person can understand the meaning of consent, who had pointed the camera towards her up-skirt while moving around in the festival.
The singer also Thanked Evan Wood for her courage to raise voice against him.
Formerly, Wood, ex-fiancée of Manson, called him horrifically abusing during her years of relationship. After this claim, a number of other women coming in solidarity to share their experiences with the actor.
Manson denied the allegations in his post on Instagram saying that he has always been in a consensual relationship with a mentally compatible partner. He said that allegations are a distortion of reality and he is a magnet for controversies. Reportedly Tony Cuilla has cut ties with him who was a Manager for long.
The ex-wife of Manson, Dita Von Tease, also denied the allegations saying that the alleged does not match with her experience during seven years of marriage. She further said that she disliked Manson as a person and get separated about 25 years ago.
