Kuwait is set to host the 2024 World Ice Hockey Championship Division IV on Tuesday, featuring four teams from Mongolia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the host nation. The tournament spans four days at the Kuwait Winter Games Club’s ice skating rink in the Bayan area.
Winter Games Club’s Head, Fuhaid Al-Ajmi, confirmed the event’s affiliation with the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), noting that victorious teams would advance to Division III. Al-Ajmi assured readiness of the venue, with Mongolia facing Indonesia and Kuwait confronting Malaysia in the opening matches.
The championship will be televised on Kuwait television, with organizers expressing hopes for a successful event.
