An innovative new app, “Track Your Impact,” has been launched to transform the way humanitarian aid is delivered and monitored, providing donors with real-time updates on their contributions. Developed by social enterprise E2G FOOD (Eat-2-Grow), the platform allows users to track their donations, high-protein food bars, as they make their way from production to disaster zones and into the hands of those in need.
This launch arrives at a critical time- a recent United Nations report, cited 828 million people go to bed hungry each night, reflecting little progress in reducing starvation since 2016. The Global Hunger Index reveals 42 countries still experience alarming or serious hunger levels.
International leadership from the US on aid is also uncertain under the new White House administration.
E2G FOOD, which has already donated more than 30,000 ready-to-eat food bars to disaster-hit regions across the Middle East, Africa, and the United States, is leveraging technology to provide transparency and give confidence to donors, from individuals to NGOs and corporate sponsors.
Through the Track Your Impact app, donors can trace their contribution like an online delivery, following their FOOD bar’s journey from the factory, in transit, to the end community. For as little as £1.65—the cost of one FOOD bar and less than a cup of coffee—users can make a tangible impact. The app provides real-time updates on local campaigns and creates auditable records of actions and deliveries, ensuring confidence for individuals, NGOs, and large-scale donors alike. Partners receiving donations can even upload images of the FOOD being enjoyed in the community, which are automatically shared with donors.
Pete Henderson, CEO of E2G FOOD and a former BBC cameraman who has witnessed famine and crises across 114 countries, said the app is about more than just delivering food.
