Dashous Clayy and Jay Supreme are enjoying an adult beverage while in the lavish MGB Studios in Las Vegas. Lighting up the finest greens Vegas has to offer while listening to ballads to tie the project together. “Mike is a mad scientist behind the boards” Dashous Clayy explains. “We hide the stress well,” Jay Supreme says, sitting back, taking a sip with a grind. It’s late November in Las Vegas, and work is nearly done on SupremeClayy Presents: Tattoos And Tuxedos, the debut LP from Clayy and Supreme the superduo tag the sound cool intellectual mogul music.
To think this all began three years ago as at the MGB studio, where Dashous Clayy seat in on Jay Supreme recording session. Don Michael Jr. made the first beat for the LP then it took off from there. Once “Mr. Pressure”, a Seventies-soul-spirited anthem was recorded, “This was truly the original intro to the book, set the tone for the project and let you know where we was going, to the slots. There’s different kinds of vibes, but the whole album is wrapped around that.”
SupremeClayy was originally slated for April 7th, but the band pushed it to the Summer 2023. Clayy and Supreme decided they’d rather put out more songs, Jay Supreme explains, “letting each track breathe is essential, a bit, plus the summer is right around the corner dropping the LP in full with perfect timing: “I don’t want us to miss the summer vibes.”
