JoeliD is a freestyle rapper, known as a Wild card rapper from Phoenix, Arizona. His style and delivery include having songs with intricate lyrics using a wide vocabulary on a variety of different topics. He has spent many years working towards mastering his craft and honing his ability for clever wordplay and rhyme.
His love for rap music developed from a young age, in his own words it started as a love of poetry. Since the age of 8, he had been freestyling and thinking of clever wordplays but at the time he did not know that this was known as rap. He was first introduced to rap about a year later when at the age of 9, he heard his first rap album, ‘Infinite’ by Eminem. After that he started listening to as much rap music as he good, listening to some of the greats like Run DMC, The Beastie Boys, and LL Cool J. As his love for rap grew, he continued working on his freestyling skills, and at the age of 14, he recorded his first album. While the album was not one that the artist has available to stream and he regrets some of his freestyles in it, it remains his first contact with recording in a commercial studio. This was also his first brush with the professional music world.
At the age of 15, he started going to freestyle events with his cousin. This experience was not only fun but also educational. During this time, not only did he improve his skills but he also realized one of the most important things about the rap world and that is that he needed to be himself, and more importantly that he needed to bring himself to the mic.
At around the age of 19, he stopped going to freestyle battles but did not stop making music and freestyles. He put out about 20+ singles and 3 years later he signed on to Cirius Audio for 1 album. This first album taught him a lot about music production, but also about the struggles in the music industry. The album was released without any marketing and soon enough that made him realize that just putting out music into the world was not enough. His love for music has led him to since then put out a lot more music and albums.
Perhaps more impressive than his music itself, is the fact that he is incredibly consistent, putting new songs and tracks out every few months. His album, called ‘A Glimpse’ had an impressive 15 tracks on it, some of which even had their own music videos. His latest album ‘Remix To Resurrect’ was made available to stream on all major platforms on the 25th of May, 2021. The song ‘Naked For Me’ was the song from that album that was selected to have a music video that was posted on JoeliD’s Youtube channel.

He now also has a new Youtube series, Joel&Joel, which features the rapper alongside his dad. In his words, the content produced for the series is an attempt of the two to provide consumers a visual aid of different products that they try on the show.
