What are you most excited about these days?
These days, I’ve been most excited about learning new things, meeting new people, and getting new opportunities. I’m still learning this whole modelling thing so it’s been a very eye opening experience, learning the ins and outs of this industry. Next… pilot lessons? Race car driver who knows.
How did you begin your career as a model?
It’s sort of a long story really. My friend is a fashion photographer and director – she had been suggesting I try modelling for like months and I figured f*** it why not? All I have to do is stand there and look pretty. She had begun working with Isabella and Harriet at LOVE magazine, pitching ideas for a photoshoot and asked me if I would maybe want to pitch something where I spoke about my experiences travelling and my love for film. I wasn’t sure at first, one I didn’t really see it as interesting and mostly ‘cuz I hate talking about myself and being open like that. I didn’t really speak about that kind of stuff to people I know, never mind posting something online! Eventually, though, I agreed that it was a good idea and that’s when we did that photoshoot that eventually got me on the cover but it was what changed everything – it will always be one of the projects that I will be most proud of. After that photoshoot, I got signed.
Are there any other avenues of your career that you would like to explore?
Oh absolutely! I really want to pursue acting, I always loved film and really just felt I can be an actor, and people have told me before that I should be one, but never really went for it now that’s all I want really, so I’d say that’s the one and only avenue I’m heading down, do loads of industry films, work with some of my favourite directors.
What does a typical day look like for you?
I honestly do to living an exciting life like at all, and depending on what i did 24 hours prior, I wake up around 9 or 10, eat breakfast, check my DMs on Instagram and other social media platforms, messaging friends memes. But if I have a shoot that day I make sure my face is clean with like face wash and all that, check for boogers. But yeah I’m really not that interesting.
As a creator, how do you find ways to stay inspired?
Films and photography inspire me, they’re both passions of mine that I absolutely love. They inspire me to travel, learn new things, connect with friends over new movies. Post my own photos and videos or post something on my own instagram story probably do things I’d never thought to do otherwise.
If you could switch lives with someone for a day, who would it be?
Probably a dog, to be honest. Just to have someone love you so unconditionally and just not a worry in the world except where my ball went, and how to get my favourite person to go for a walk with me. The joy I see in EVERY single dog’s face when that happens is something I wish to experience for a whole day.
If your life had a theme song, what would it be?
I suppose I’m supposed to pick a happy song otherwise you all will think something wrong with me, but I can’t thing of one, so I’d say currently it would be Welcome to Heartbreak by Kayne.
Recent binge watches?
I usually watch movies so which are hard to binge watch, but the last thing that I did re-watched and binged was the Kanye documentary on Netflix.
What advice can you give to someone who aspires to have a Modelling career like your own?
I would would say if you really want to get into modelling dog expect to get paid all the time, its a tough thing to learn you’re getting paid through ‘exposure’, so defiantly have that mindset when you start, kinda like going to school, just be like this will benefit me in the long run.
What was your favourite part about modelling?
I love the clothing I get to wear and model, some of the stuff is a little outside of my price range right now so wearing designer stuff like that has made me look forward to the clothes I want in the future.
