During the Easter holidays, the 4th edition of the EUROPE MUSIC VIDEO AWARDS (by On-Studio) took place at the East Slovak Gallery in Košice. This audiovisual festival focuses on evaluating, screening, and awarding music videos by independent artists. Musicians, directors, and video artists from Slovakia and abroad gathered in the city to present their work, some already receiving awards, others still competing for prestigious recognition.

The award for Best Annual Music Video was won by Roshi Shyong, directed by James Lama (Nepal):

More than 50 music videos were screened during the event, showcasing a wide range of themes, genres, and visual storytelling styles. Both the jury and the audience experienced a rich collection of independent music video creations. At the end of the festival, awards were presented in Slovak and international categories to the most outstanding entries.

One of the highlights was the visit of Amine Boucekkine, who traveled all the way from Paris to present his impactful piece Dead Dreams Falling. His work earned the Best Shock Award, and the atmosphere in the hall during its screening was filled with emotional intensity.

Other noteworthy international guests included András Körtési from Hungary, Aneska, and the band Kámo from the Czech Republic, offering a glimpse into the diversity of the global indie music video scene. The event was also attended by guests from Germany and the United Kingdom. The Slovak lineup was also strong, with participants primarily from the western part of the country. The competition was particularly tough this year, and selecting the top three videos proved to be a real challenge.

The event featured a vibrant accompanying program hosted by Alzbeta Halagovcova, with musical performances by singer Semy’Dee and pianist Martin Jarina. A theatrical performance titled The Edge of Fun, written by Daniel Kuchar and performed by Zuzana Susterova and Pavol Moscak, added another artistic layer to the evening.

This edition wasn’t just about competition, it was about connection, shared experiences, and new collaborations. We believe every participant walked away with more than just a diploma or trophy with a beautiful memory, new contacts, and creative inspiration for the future.

The highest number of audience votes went to the following music videos:

Slovak Category
3rd Place: See More – with the song A Dystopic Romance
2nd Place: Masa Mäsa – with the song To Be Wild
1st Place: Melissa Mandy – with the song Vtáča
